Sample cover letter for Internship position at Social Start-up

POSITION:

intern

1234 A Street

NYC, NY 00000

November 17, 2015

To Whom It May Concern:

Since my freshmen year I have been involved in the Alex Brown Center for Entrepreneurship at UMBC. I was drawn to study entrepreneurship because building a vision from the ground up from is inspiring and exciting to me.

I feel as if over the past three years that I have spent studying economics, entrepreneurship, and accounting I have learned a great deal that would make me useful in working at a start-up. During my coursework I have gained understanding of income statements, feasibility studies, business plans, both indirect and direct marketing, management, organizational culture, and personal development.

Becoming an entrepreneur has been a goal of mine since I was young. I love the idea of creating something out of nothing. But I still remember learning about social entrepreneurship for the first time, and I thought to myself, “that is exactly what I want to do someday”.

Sincerely,

Fred Financial
