I am interested in applying for intern in Growth Equity Summer Analyst. I know that Spectrum is a lean organization that has an entrepreneurial and outward-facing culture.

I am now pursuing a master degree in University of Pennsylvania majoring in Statistics Measurement, Assessment and Research Technology (SMART), and completed my bachelor degree in Peking University with a focus on Electrical Engineering. Knowing that real-life experiences could sharpen my skills in data analysis and research ability, I am working as a Graduate Assistant at Learning Technology Team of Penn Dental Medicine (PDM). We have a focus on how learning technology influences students’ and professors’ performance. I actively involved in iBook, PaGamO, and Flipped Classroom programs. Besides, in the summer of my junior year, I was selected to intern at CAS Investment Management Co., Ltd., a prestigious venture capital firm in China. As an analyst, I was engaged in the due diligence investigation of an oil drilling equipment company. I collected information and data from different sources concerning world oil prices and demand for drilling equipment. After correlation analysis, I found some amazing relationship between world oil prices and drilling equipment market size, and finished a much-applauded market model under the guidance of my internship supervisor.

I found that you are looking for people with ability to evaluate new investment opportunities, undertake market research and analysis, and write reports for senior management. Based on my academic and professional experience, I am confident that working as an intern will be a great experience for me because it will keep me challenged and enable me to learn how to tackle with real-life problems.
