Sample cover letter for Full Time position at Survey Monkey

POSITION:

Recruiting Coordinator

September 22, 20xx

Hello:

Enclosed please find my application materials for the Recruiting Coordinator position with Survey Monkey. I am interested in joining Survey Monkey because of your ability to maintain your customer focus while helping them to make better decisions. I am drawn to working for an organization that values its employees and believes “good ideas can come from anyone.” After spending over 10 years building strong relationships in higher education, I am eager to bring my customer service, communication and collaboration skills to Survey Monkey, where I am confident that I will be a strong contributor to the recruiting team.

In my role as a Student Development Coordinator at This University, I have been a part of multiple teams while overseeing diverse administrative functions. In my current position, I assist with screening application materials and coordinating interviews. Additionally, I have demonstrated strong customer service and interpersonal skills while meeting with clients individually and answering calls and emails. I enjoy collaborating with colleagues to improve processes and analyze trends in client data to share with the greater campus community, which requires attention to detail and outstanding organization skills. In an effort to manage customer feedback, I have created and maintained user databases that include confidential information, while also designing and administering customer satisfaction surveys. In supporting office operations, I have posted job openings for students and alumni, assisted with employee onboarding and contributed to updating the training manual. Over the past six years, I have organized numerous events, including producing marketing/communications materials and managing purchasing and contracting services.

Prior to moving to Portland in 2007, I spent six years working at Another University, where I interacted with faculty and staff members, alumni, and students in a fast-paced environment. I demonstrated creative problem solving and adaptability in managing the travel plans for 25 people for over 10 trips per year, which often involved making last minute changes in a timely manner. Additionally, I controlled the financial aspects of the women’s basketball program, completing expense reports and ensuring a balanced budget. Based on my academic background and professional experiences, I believe that I would be a good fit for Survey Monkey.

While I have enjoyed my time in higher education, I am seeking to transition to a role that will enable me to gain additional insight into recruiting, while also supporting a strong organization that embodies values I admire. I have a passion for helping others and vast experience building relationships with clients and colleagues; I would appreciate the opportunity to be considered for the Recruiting Coordinator position at Survey Monkey. Thank you for your time and I look forward to speaking with you soon.

Sincerely,
