Sample cover letter for Internship position at TOM
Aircraft Maintenance
Dear Sir or Madam
I am a hardworking, confident, resourceful and conscientious Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Graduate. I recently completed an MSc in Aerospace Material at Canfield University after a BSc in Aircraft Maintenance at University of South Wales (1st class Hons) together with Part 147 training.
In 2014/15 I completed a two year summer work-placement with British Airways at Heathrow airport as a line maintenance technician. This unique opportunity allowed me to utilize the skills gained at Kingston College and University of South Wales in industry. The work ranged from performing scheduled checks to Maintenance of unscheduled unforeseen events. I have also gained industrial experience from employment ranging from Electrical wholesalers to plastic recycling which has helped developed skills beyond engineering. Organizational and interpersonal skills are two I have excelled in during my working life.
My passion for aviation could be best described by a quote seen on the walls of GE engine repair workshop during my work placement. "To invent the future of flight, lift people up and bring them home safely."It is by that ethos I hope to work and live, ensuring the future and safety of flight through good workmanship, innovation and teamwork.
I believe that I can fulfill these ambitions if given a role in Bombardier Aerospace. Not only will I be fulfilling my ambitions, I will also be using my skills, knowledge and aspiration to achieve a common goal and become a future asset to the company.
Please do not hesitate to contact me should you require any further information.
Yours sincerely,
