Sample cover letter for Internship position at Tampa Bay Buckeneers

POSITION:

Internship

am a student at XXXXXX. I received an interesting email with an internship opportunity I could not ignore. I am applying for the Fall 2015 football season internship program concentrated in Public Relations or Events and Entertainment positions.

I am an excellent candidate for either position with the company for my academic and previous work experience. I am an enthusiastic and eager recent graduate of the study of broadcast and journalism. I have communicated both with local and national organizations for a recent campaign for my senior completion class. Factors involved with the campaign included research activities, obtaining and analyzing primary research, and coordinating and creating media platforms. In supplement to my Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, I studied Marketing and Event Planning. I completed an internship during the summer of 2014 at The Club at Olde Stone Country Club, in which I learned and experienced the components of creating events.

I believe in the journey through completing my Bachelor’s degree, I became proficient in organization, public speaking, customer service, and relationship building. Along with my skills, I have a desire for using them and channeling it into something that I am passionate. Sports. In more ways than one, I believe I can benefit your company greatly along side my appointed position. I like to take my work for more than face value and put a personalized twist on it. My references can confirm that I can demonstrate all items on my resume along with motivation and determination for things I have yet to learn. My strong written and oral communication abilities and group learning flatter my qualifications and desire for sports entertainment.
