Dear Hiring Manager,

I am writing to submit my candidature for the Temasek Associate Programme – Investment Group (Singapore). I am an MBA student at the [XXXX], planning on pursuing a career in investment management upon my graduation in XXXX.

Prior to attending HKUST, I worked in [XXXX] Bank and [XXXX]  in their Singapore offices, covering the South and South East Asian markets. Over my seven years of work experience, I have gained exposure in various roles including Credit Risk Management, Loan Syndication, and M&A Financing. My most recent experience in the XXX  Finance team has given me first hand exposure to working alongside senior bankers in originating and executing M&A-financing deals. As a result, I have developed strong transferable skills including financial modelling, financial statement analysis and forecasting, as well as collaborating with different teams to generate cross-sell opportunities for the bank. As an MBA candidate at [XXXX], I am strengthening my knowledge of corporate strategy as well as investment analysis so as to prepare myself for a career in investment management.

As an Associate in the Investment Group, I hope to bring to the table a strong technical mindset, the ability to be able to see the bigger picture and ethos of investing in specific sectors, and strong teamwork and collaboration skills to effectively work with different teams both internally and externally.
