I am an MBA candidate at the Mays Business School, Texas A&M University, College Station. I have learned about the Summer 2016 internship for MBA students through the career center of the Mays business school at Texas A&M university. I also met with Tesoro recruiter, Sara Martinez, at the National Women’s MBA career fair in Houston in October 2015. I am very interested in this internship and believe that my education and employment background are suitable for the position. I am especially interested in an internship in one of the following fields: Business Planning & Analysis, Finance, Commercial and Strategy & Business Development.

I have six years of professional work experience as an electrical engineer developing new products for the oil & gas and semiconductor industries. I have also worked in software development for one year. I have earned Bachelors and Masters degrees in electrical engineering.

I have gained significant research, analytical, problem solving and leadership skills while working in leading companies like Schlumberger and Halliburton. My background in generating innovative ideas and design strategies to develop new products has provided me with a deeper understanding of multifaceted problems that companies encounter in their daily operations. Moreover, because of my work experiences, I fully understand how important it is to have great team dynamics in today’s multi-disciplinary business environment. In addition, I would like to mention that I have employment authorization to work in the US and will not require employment sponsorship now or in the future.
