The Boston Consulting Group looks for an individual who is a leader with commitment and high interpersonal skill. These skills were best depicted in my involvement as the President of Indonesian Student Association UNSW. Together with the committee, we have pioneered various events such as a charity project that aimed to provide better education and living for less fortunate children in Indonesia, an end-of-year cruise party, a musical concert and also monthly news on a digital platform. Through our hard work and perseverance, we received the awards for the Best ISA Chapter and the Best University Entertainment Event from the Consulate General of Republic of Indonesia in Australia for the first time.

In addition to that, my data-mining skill and the ability to solve problems analytically were further honed into me through my internship in a rotogravure company called PT Sapta Warna Cemerlang. In a short two months, I was able to gather the necessary figures to develop the solutions to improve the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) of four rotogravure machines. Furthermore, I was never afraid to attentively voice my suggestions in weekly meetings. For example, I promoted the importance of having sustainable manufacturing and implementing safe workplace practices in factories. On the last weeks of my internship, I was able to co-write a concise and succinct guideline for sustainability and safety work ethics with my supervisor.

Indisputably, a career as an associate in The Boston Consulting Group means to partake in finding solutions that could have been a huge impact on a diverse range of the world’s industries as well as crucial business issues. This implies that the calibre of the generated solutions highly influences not only the financial status of the client firm but also on their employees and investors.
