Sample cover letter for Internship position at Tomtom

Dear Sir or Madam,

September 2013, I started with the bachelor programme “International Business and Languages” at Avans University of Applied Sciences, the Netherlands. With this letter I would like to inform you about the possibility of a graduation internship at your company.

This graduation project would preferably be during a period of five months (February 2017 – June 2017). International marketing and communication drew my attention since the majority of projects are creative, challenging, international and executed in different cultures. My interest in travelling and working with other cultures, matches this international working environment.

Because of my study, I am able to speak three foreign languages. I speak Dutch as a first language and my English and German skills are very good. I also speak basic Spanish; at the moment I am an Erasmus exchange student in Spain for my Minor. This makes me unique compared with other International Business students. I have knowledge of intercultural differences, which makes it easier to do good business.

Through my strong organizational skills and my ability to work independently as well as in a team situation, I could support your team well in it’s daily work.In 20 weeks I will support the company by investigating the field of export - import, account management or international communication management. Examples of final results can include an export plan, international procurement plan, international communication plan or an international marketing strategy.

If you work hard and if you’re dedicated to your purpose you can accomplish everything in a business world. Due to my personal skills and my high motivation, I would be delighted to start my graduation assignment at TomTom.
