I am writing to apply for the Claims and Disbursements Analyst position advertised on your career site.
As a recent master graduate from Cass Business School, I have attained a variety of skills that will benefit me in fulfilling the job’s requirements, such as: research skills, presentation and communication skills, organisation skills, time management and working within a team. Furthermore, for several courses, including Chartering, Trading and Oil Transportation & Logistics, the understanding of shipping principles was essential. I found these courses to be positively engaging.
I am a fast learner with good analytical skills and some basic work experience in the Oil industry. Through my previous job at ERC Equipoise, where I held an Economist position, I focused mainly on producing regular oil price assumptions, as well as reviewing technical, contractual and commercial cash flow inputs. The experience allowed me to better grasp several dynamics of the oil industry, while enhancing my attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise in order to meet deadlines
Being a pioneer in trading and logistics, Trafigura is internationally renowned for its high standards, reliability and responsible work ethics. Thus, I would be very grateful for the opportunity to join and progress in such an established company, which focuses on improving worldwide commerce. Trafigura would allow me to grow and ameliorate my skills, while working in a diverse, stimulating and dynamic environment.
Having lived in several countries and being able to speak several languages, I can easily adapt to multicultural circumstances and communicate with a variety of people. Moreover, I believe I possess the determination, diligence and enthusiasm necessary to take on the responsibilities of the Claims and Disbursements Analyst position.
