To Whom It May Concern:
As a recent graduate from the University of California, Berkeley, I was excited to hear about the Associate
position at Triage Consulting Group. I am deeply impressed by the significant range of opportunities
Associates are provided to interact with hospitals and other stakeholders such as insurance companies. In
addition, I am drawn to Triage’s emphasis on the continual learning and development of its employees
through various programs such as onsite training to develop project management skills and the mentor
program. Although my background has primarily been in finance, I have always had a keen interest in the
ever-changing dynamics of our healthcare system and the way these changes will affect not only patients
but doctors and hospitals as well. As a result, I believe that this particular role is a perfect fit that will allow
me to gain first-hand exposure to the healthcare industry while working in a close-knit team with intelligent
and innovative people. More importantly, Triage’s commitment to providing the best solutions for its
clients and fostering long-term relationships are values that resonate with me and I hope to be a part of one
day. I believe that through my past experiences, I have been able to develop skills that would allow me to
work in a fast-paced and cooperative environment, which distinguishes me as an excellent candidate for the
position at Triage Consulting Group.
The analytical abilities that I have developed will allow me to be a strong candidate for Associate position.
I was able to develop my analytical skills through conducting due diligence processes for client companies
XXXXXXXthroughout my time at XXXXXXX. As an investment analyst, I excelled at performing due
diligence and conducting in-depth financial analysis on retail, manufacturing, and consumer goods
companies. Following my initial success, I was given increased responsibility, including creating annual
analytical reports on the latest industrial and financial risks and merits of portfolio companies. I was
also engaged in the underwriting of pricing, credit, and authorization memos that not only helped to
develop my analytical skills as well as solidify my written communication abilities. I believe that the skills
I learned will provide me with a strong analytical foundation needed in a career in consulting industry.
In additional to developing strong analytical and communication skills, I have also fine-tuned my ability to
work under time constraints, collaborate in a team setting, take initiative and foster communication
amongst team members. For example, as the community service chair of XXXXXXXX, I was in charge of arranging a large-scale community outreach event called
XXXXXXXX for 800+ parents and children with no budget. With one month to plan and a six-person
team, I ensured that I was able to communicate with all of my team members to track their progress, listen,
and address their concerns and suggestions. In the end, we were able to obtain adequate donations and
sponsorships for the participants of the event. My ability to work in a team cooperatively as I demonstrated
during my time as the community service chair will enable me to work easily with different groups as well
as adapt to unprecedented challenges that may arise when working on various projects.
