Sample cover letter for Internship position at Twitter

This cover letter is in regard to my interest in applying for the EA PRE software engineer position, which I found on EA Careers. While browsing the position description page, I found out the PRE engineer position is both a challenging and promising job. I am a long-time fan of EA games, ranging from PC to mobile ones. To serve players by building a world class visualization tool, I am zealous to devote myself to it.

My undergraduate major was Digital Media Art, and my graduate work is an MS in Games and Playable Media at UC Santa Cruz, giving me a background in both technology and visual design. Additionally, I started my own online product  two years ago as a product manager and front-end developer. My job was designing the website/mobile app functionalities, and developing the front-end in JS/HTML/CSS. Meantime, most parts of the UI design was also my work. For the capstone project in the UCSC’s master program, my group developed an iPad game, where my role was a programmer, essentially for compatibility and localization on mobile devices.
