Summer Analyst
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am a third-year student, currently abroad at Warwick Business School. As I progress in my studies, I have become more and more interested in Investment Banking. Providing advice and financial services to the biggest corporations, financial institutions and governments is something really exciting and challenging. To me, no other industry is so correlated to the economy. The Summer Intern Program at UBS will give me the opportunity to improve my knowledge of the work of analyst, by getting involved in real projects.
What makes UBS special to me is its culture. UBS provides a challenging work environment, with a strong culture of excellence. I attended the Warwick Speed Networking event, hosted by Oliver Gaunt, Executive Director of the investment bank division. I had the chance to talk to some of your employees and they really give me the feeling that, at UBS, everyone is valued, can make a positive impact on a project and can succeed in his career in banking.
I completed a two-month long internship at Company X in France. Through this experience, I had to show a considerable degree of flexibility and the ability to handle multiple tasks since I worked both as an accountant and assistant treasurer in the same time. I also produced an Excel File that calculates Directors’ fees gathering a range of data, such as mileage expenses, which has significantly improved my ability to work using Excel tables and huge amount of figures. Moreover, as a summer customer adviser at Bank X, I had the opportunity to work directly with clients, providing them advice and solutions, which has strongly developed my communication skills.
Given my background in accounting and retail banking, I believe I am particularly fit for the Summer Analyst position. Thank you for your time considering my application.
