Working to make the world a better one has always been my aspiration. Grew up in a small town in southeast China, I enjoyed a life of close group relations and peaceful country sight, along with benefits of economic development and systematic reform through time. But as far as I knew, there were undeveloped regions and areas in China, especially in rural China. Seeing people there suffering bothered me horribly and I decided to devote myself into changing this situation.

So I chose agricultural economy and rural development as my major in college, and social work (in sociology department) in post-graduate study. Apart from basic knowledge learning, I contributed a great deal of time involving in field research and surveys including China’s Social Survey by CDIC(Central Discipline Inspection Commission of CPC) in 2012,China’s Farmland Survey by USA RDI&RUC Public Administrationin2010 . I managed to obtain the fund and led a small team to do a survey on funding policy of appliances for peasants in rural areas in Henan, Anhui and Fujian Province in China, made quantitative analysis and won the second prize in academic paper competition in Renmin Universityin 2009 to 2010. These survey gave me deep insights into modern China's social issues, and made me realize economy alone can't deal with these problems, sociology should also take part in it. Meanwhile, I participated in several academic forums and benefited much from communicating with scholars and researchers. I was the representative of my institute and the speaker in Greater China Postgraduate Social Policy Seminar(2012), and my paper was chosen as the forum paper. I worked as conference staff in The 2nd China and Europe High-Level Cultural Forum.

Working to make actual efforts is also my devotion. I have been the volunteer of Jet Li One Foundation “One for One Autistic Children Accompany Project” since 2012, and the staff member in Y.C.JamesYen Rural Development Center--Peitian Village Community College Program in2011. I worked as an intern in Peacewoman Across the Globe and assist in arrange the first “South South Conference on Sustainability”. My past three-year working in China Unicom has also given me a great experience of working in an international firm and how to cooperate with teammates to realize the corporate scheme. These working experiences reinforce my will to work for the sustainable development and well-being of people around the globe, especially those in developing areas.
