Sample cover letter for Internship position at UVA Library

Dear Ms.:

I am writing to apply for the position of stacks assistant. I come to know about this position from CAVLink activity updates couple days ago and decided to apply when immediately done with midterms.

I fell in love with the special collection library during a library tour offered by a history professor and some library staffs at the beginning of my UVA life. It means a lot to me in its sense of archaism and delicacy. I always step in with respect and awe. Thus, I am very excited that through this opportunity I can participate in its operation. Though I don't have previous experiences in working in a library, I have done several part-time jobs, and I never failed to maintain my enthusiasm no matter how tedious the job is, and have always exceeded the minimum requirement of precision of that work. Physical labor is not a problem either. Therefore, I consider myself as a perfect fit for this position.

In the second page of this letter I have attached my current class schedule. If there are interviews of any kind, I can meet any time outside of class except for Thursday nights.
