Currently, I am a graduating senior from the University of Iowa majoring in business administration, minoring in Chinese, and completing a certificate in entrepreneurial management. While at Iowa, I was selected to be a Student Ambassador for the John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center(JPEC) – a nationally renowned program. This community was a perfect fit for my career interests and allowed me to connect with mentors and peers in an entrepreneurial environment. I worked with professionals and peers to improve their ideas, mobilize their business plans and launch their products. The experience also gave me great insight into understanding various business models.

I’ve built my career in a variety of roles and industries, mostly in large companies where I was able to take on responsibilities within client relations but also as an expert on consulting with professionals, solving unique problems, and translating through my bilingualism in Chinese.

In addition to being flexible and responsive, I’m also incredibly detail oriented – particularly when it comes to automotive corporate strategy. One of my recent projects for AT Kearney during the winter last year involved coordinating a 100-page marketing proposal with my team: I proofed and edited narratives provided by my team leader, provided insightful strategies, and conducted interviews with desired clients in order to be successful in the project assigned to us. The proposal was a success, and consequently led to our client signing an agreement for a thirty year branding plan. My experience at AT Kearney is proof of my capability to enter difficult and foreign markets to acquire challenging clients.

Every successful company makes challenging goals for themselves, which requires a lot of ambition and dedication. I am particularly able to align myself with a company’s vision and goals, and successfully tackle them. For example, as one of the five assistant managers, I helped lead a team of fifty to successfully meet and exceed our company’s summer sales goal of $250,000 at Vector Marketing. We were a small district with less than one hundred people where everyone had to pitch in, and I thrived on the excitement of being involved at every level of meeting company goals.
