Sample cover letter for Full Time position at University College London
Receptionist
Dear Sir/ Madam,
I was delighted to see your recent advertisement for an Administrative Receptionist, as the role is perfectly suited to my skills and experience.
I am a University College London graduate with over 6 years of experience in reception, administration, sales and customer service roles. As explained in my CV, many of these positions involved working as part of the front of house team in very fast-paced environments.
My degree in English has refined my outstanding written and verbal communication skills, while my work experience has supplemented this and given me excellent inter-personal skills. My CV details my most relevant reception and administrative work, which I am confident will meet your experience requirements. These roles involved similar responsibilities to those listed in your description – such as greeting people professionally and politely, booking and preparing rooms for meetings, and liaising with attendees / PAs. In addition to those roles, I have additional experience which has prepared me for this role; having worked part-time during university as a hostess in several high-end restaurants and 5* hotels, I am well-practiced and proficient in providing important clients with VIP customer service. Working at Abercrombie & Fitch as a greeter and model, I communicated brand values and ensured that from the moment visitors arrived, they were welcomed and assisted. All of these positions required immaculate presentation and a polished appearance at all times, as the face of these companies.
I have a clear understanding of the importance of having a professional reception area and great customer service to the company and I know that I could bring my professionalism and warm, welcoming nature to the private Bank. I would be delighted if you could consider me for the role, and look forward to hearing from you.
Kind Regards,
_
