I am a 25-year-old financial economics postgraduate, with 3 years of experience in the household finance space. After my masters degree, I worked in research arms of a unique financial institution with bank-like branches in remote rural Indian villages, offering customized financial services.

I regularly worked with a database of 200000 clients to track products over their life cycle and understand client behavior. Two projects where I had the opportunity to use this data for policy-related work were understanding retirement savings behavior of households (with the XXX) and developing a consumer protection framework (for the X Reforms Commission).

Apart from my regular responsibilities, I also taught a course on finance at the XYZ Fellowship Program and for new inductees at our company. I enjoy writing on topics related to rural finance and have authored chapters for a book to be published by X publications, articles in a national daily, and also regularly contributed to the company blog.

Over these 3 years, my work has brought me in contact with fields as diverse as ethnography and agricultural sciences and I have learnt a lot from each of those experiences.
