Sample cover letter for Internship position at Uponor

My career is barely launching; I can only count a few months of professional experience in my area of expertise because of my age and because I have spent the previous years accomplishing other goals: getting my Degrees, doing a Masters, participating in different programs, and definitely growing as a person.

I would have to thank my parents for having the courage to move abroad when my siblings and I were only in school; the new world they opened up for me made my world face a complete change. The international world and everything that came along with it encouraged me to guide my career in that direction. During school years, and when back in Spain, I participated in every program that involved traveling abroad and getting to know people from other countries (student exchange programs in France, or research projects in Italy). I even had the great opportunity to be part of the first Model United Nations projects ever done in Spanish schools and represented my country at the Model UN that took place at the UN Headquarters in New York in 2006.

To follow that path, I decided to enroll in a hard and work demanding school where I got two degrees at a time: Degree in Law (Spanish and International Law; Commercial, Civil, Criminal, Administrative, Private, Public Law, etc.) and a Degree in Political and Public Administration Sciences. I thought these two degrees where the best education I could get to reach an international career. A couple of months after graduating and after a 6 month selection process I was chosen to be part of the ICEX program. This program gives you the chance to work at an Economic and Commercial Office of Spain in whichever of the 98 Offices Spain has around the world, after having graduated from a Master’s Degree in International Business and Company Management.

My background, my academic evolution, and my knowledge of three of the main languages make me an ideal candidate for this job position. I am convinced that I have a lot to offer Uponor and that, at the same time, I have a lot to learn from it. My candidacy is not backed with years of expertise or experience in certain areas, but all the knowledge I have had the chance to gain throughout these past years is a great asset that should also be taken into account.
