Sample cover letter for Internship position at Vodafone

I am writing to express my interest in your Management Trainee programme as I have recently graduated from XXX and my courses in economics and management have given me a solid base upon which I plan to build up my career.

As a career path, I see myself being part of a dynamic industry, which due to its unpredicatbility, forces

one to constantly learn new things and be creative to stand out of the crowd. As I have always had an

active eagerness to learn new things, nurtured in me by great teachers that inspired me to understand

things rather than to simply observe them, I developed an inclination for always asking „why?” and

not just taking things for granted in order to develop a personal way of thinking. It is my opinion that

these traits are well suited for the type of industries I want to work within.

To my mind, Vodafone comes as a natural option because of its position in the market and of

the perspectives of further product developments due to new technologies that the industry offers. I

have a keen eye for detail and I am a very adaptable person, characteristics which would recommend

me for this position.

My experience as a summer-intern at the XXX helped me improve my analytical thinking and strategical approach in

problem-solving. I like to look at myself as a neverending work in progress, and the experience in the

public sector is just the beginning of my journey in continous learning, which I would like to continue

in the telecom industry.

Due to the above mentioned reasons, Vodafone is a perfect match for my professional and

personal development, especially being a place where „excellence is a habit”.

I consider Aristotles’ words about excellence more relevant than ever because of the fact that
