Sample cover letter for Internship position at Wells

POSITION:

Summer Analyst

Hi, hope this email reaches your desk with the sole purpose of securing a position in Wells Fargo’s Equity Capital Markets. I am currently attending CUNY Baruch College in my junior year, majoring in Finance.

Throughout my college career I’ve taken rigorous courses such as Calculus II, Corporate Finance, Investment Analysis, Financial Accounting & more. This has helped me to gain tremendous amount of foresight in the field of finance. Simultaneously, I’ve also managed to maintain a 3.6 GPA which has enabled me to be on the Dean’s list for past 4 consecutive semesters. I’ve already acquired the FINRA licenses 6/63, to demonstrate a higher level of commitment to investments & financial markets.

Wells Fargo is my first choice. The major reason I’m interested in Wells Fargo’s program is because I admire the vision & values Wells Fargo stands by. For the past 2 years I’ve been working for Wells Fargo, which has offered me a very professional, highly focused, competitive & goal oriented environment. Hence, I would love to further my career goals with Wells Fargo, while taking on significantly more responsibilities & contributing on a higher tier.

I understand that Wells Fargo has a formalized recruitment process, but if the team is currently experiencing high deal flow then I could be of assistance.

Would it be possible to arrange a call? I would be very grateful for an opportunity to discuss this with you.
