To Whom It May Concern:
My name is xxxx and I firmly believe that I have a strong skill set backed by relevant experience to be an attractive candidate for a position with the Chicago White Sox. I have attached my resume for your review and would like to further detail my qualifications.
My most recent work experience came at The Drake Hotel in Chicago, where I was a Sales, Marketing and Events Intern. I was responsible for making cold calls, responding to our online lead generator, crafting group contracts for 10+ rooms and writing pieces for the hotel’s blog. I was also charged with creating a SWOT analysis by investigating ten hotels in our competitive set firsthand and presenting the findings to the Director of Events.
Prior to this, I held an internship with Acosta Sales and Marketing. In my time there I shadowed buyers meetings, worked with the assembly of planograms as each grocery aisle is meticulously constructed, and complied data to assist the company make smart, economical decisions.
I have also held two previous sales jobs at Vector Marketing and The Bootery. Both taught me invaluable lessons about how hard work, perseverance, problem solving and importance of being personable that comes with being successful in the sales world.
I was also a dedicated member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and served as the social chair for 3 years, increasing the quality and quantity of our events each semester while making sure the necessary paperwork associated with each was turned in by each due date.
