To whom it may concern,

I am a full time student at the 3rd year of a Bachelor of Business and Management, eager to put into practice the knowledge acquired over the course of my degree. I am currently looking for a compulsory internship in the area of customer service or finance for 1 to 3 months, for the period starting from mid-January/February through May 201X. My availability would be of 6 days a week.

Since starting university, I have worked part-time (summers/holidays/weekends) as a waitress first for a local Italian restaurant, then at a Subway restaurant in the south of England, where I spent 4 months, completing also a 12 weeks English course at the level C2, during days off.

Last summer, I was employed as a waitress by the Do&Co Hotel, one of the most prestigious hotels in downtown Vienna; in this position, I was able to further develop excellent customer service and communication skills along with accuracy and punctuality.

Moreover, before starting my fifth semester at the University of xxxx, I spent 2 months hosted by a family in xxxx, Canada visiting a friend, where I also volunteered for a short period as an English speaking partner for the xxxx University.

These experiences, together with my previous studies of foreign languages (French, English and German) during high school, helped me deepen my English knowledge and improve my skills in the German language while also developing an increased sense of independence and self-confidence.

In addition to my study related competencies, I bring to the table advanced computer skills, with expertise in the MS Office suite of products and proficiency in the use of internet, as attested by the xxxx certification.

My long term goal is to work for an airline company at a corporate level, combining my knowledge of foreign languages and passion for traveling with my understanding of business dynamics. Being able to intern in one of your departments would provide me with the ideal opportunity to get an insight into your daily operations and in addition become familiar with the airline industry.
