Sample cover letter for Internship position at World bank

POSITION:

Analyst

I’m writing to express of my interest in the intern position you have posted online. I am currently a second year graduate student in NYU studying Global Affairs. At this point, I only have my thesis left, so I am able to work full time. My study in MSGA equips me with the knowledge of international relation, energy and environmental policies, as well as international business and finance. My current study and life in New York combined with my undergraduate study for economics and mathematics enable me to form distinctive perspective and to work with people with diverse background. I think I can be a perfect fit for this position. Through my study, I developed skills in research and writing in both English and Chinese. And through my former internship experience, I became a confident, responsible, and hardworking team player.

With my passion for working in International Organizations like UNDP, I see this position as a great opportunity for my professional development and I believe I would be a valuable asset to the team. I would really appreciate an opportunity to discuss how I can contribute through this position with you and learn more about this position at your earliest convenience. Thank you very much for your time and consideration.

Warm regards,
