Sample cover letter for Internship position at accounting firm

Dear Sir or Madame,

My name is Eriko Utama, currently enrolled as a third year accounting student in the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Indonesia, and I am expected to be graduated in July 2017. Studying accounting since junior high, I’m deeply interested in the world of accounting and decided to take accounting as my major in university. A top public accounting firm is my target place to work, and in this internship period I would like to experience the working system and enviroment of an accounting firm. Seeing RSM Indonesia as a top public accounting firm, I would love to learn a thing or two from RSM Indonesia in order to develop myself and gain invaluable experience, thus with this letter I hereby would like to apply for an internship program at RSM Indonesia.

Throughout my learning process in Universitas Indonesia, I’ve learned about how to develop my careers and give added value to my employer. I’ve also learned about working values and ethics such as teamwork, hardwork, honesty, determination, and time management. I’ve also taken modules related to accounting, such as Intermediate Accounting, Advanced Financial Accounting, Accounting Information System, and Auditing. Besides academic skill, I’ve also involved in committee and organizational work to develop my soft skill, such as leadership, problem solving, communication with others, teamwork, and adaptability in changing enviroments, which I hope could be useful later on.

My resume has been included with attachments that will give a greater picture about my qualification and other personal information. I’m willing to work hard and give my best in this intership program. I would really welcome the opportunity for an interview to discuss about my qualification and the performance expected from me.
