I am writing to you to express my interest and motivation in working at Alstom. I have every confidence that the opportunity to work within Alstom will provide a fulfilling career. I strongly value the mission of Alstom; particularly attractive to me is the prospect of being able to provide marketable innovations and solutions which are focused on smart grids. 

As an Electrical Engineering graduate, I have completed courses in Power Analysis and Protection, Power Electronics, Electronics, Matlab, Numerical Analysis, Classic Control Theory and Adaptive and Modern Control. 

Moreover, as my CV indicates, I have done a one-year internship at the Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology (Empa). I believe the theoretical knowledge I gained from my university studies and the practical experience I gained from my internship qualify me for the position I am applying for. 

I consider myself to be a driven and energetic team player, capable of functioning as both a contributing member as well as a leader. I am highly motivated and always looking for new challenges and I do my best to meet the expectations. This is what I plan to do also in this new position, if the trust is put in me.
