An internship with Operations Team at Amazon is in line with the career progression, that I am consciously trying to build.

After completing my education at IIT(BHU), I joined Wipro as part of a fast track management program. After spending some time in the organization, I realized that, in order to understand the heart of the business of an organization, I must understand the operations of the company. With this enthusiasm and sustained efforts, I successfully forayed in the Retail Sales Operations team. The role helped me gain a perspective of Wipro’s operational challenges and opportunities. To develop my skills for a full fledged career in operations management, I chose to join NMIMS for further education.

In order to realize the real challenges of operations, I need to be a part of an organization like Amazon, where operations are the backbone of business. The operations team at Amazon provides ample learning opportunities, as it deals with every aspect of supply chain which includes inventory planning, warehouse management, transportation, customer returns and customer service. In the long run, such a holistic experience in operations, with a focus on the ultimate goal of customer delight, will pave my way for a leadership position in operations management.

The perfect blend of working on process improvements, by use of analytics while working with cross functional teams is an unique feature of the internship at Amazon.

I am confident that my skills and previous experience are in line with the expectations of Amazon.

At Wipro, I was responsible for sales analytics and improving operational sales parameters. I had to work with 20 client teams of the Retail vertical. I led review meetings with the sales teams of each account, where we identified and discussed the loopholes in the sales performance and ways to improve them.

Thus, I have an experience of working with multiple teams and excellent oral and written communication skills. By interacting with multiple account sales teams, I have closely experienced the criticality of customer satisfaction to win deals. I had taken voluntarily taken up the responsibility of mentoring a new sales operations team for consumer goods vertical. I was highly appreciated by senior management for learning quickly and taking ownership at work. I have secured 100% in Mathematics in class XII and State Rank 4 in Madhya Pradesh in the Regional Mathematics Olympiad. I have leveraged the numerical and analytical abilities in performing sales analytics at Wipro.
