I am Vaninder Singh, a third year student of the Department of Civil Engineering, IIT Kharagpur. Even though I am pursuing a course in civil engineering my primary field of interest is computer science and engineering. I have been actively involved with the subject since my school days and have broadened my skill sets steadily thence forth.

It is my ardent wish to further enhance my knowledge and pursue a career as a software engineer. I wish to undertake a 2 month summer internship starting May, 2006 at your esteemed organization. My skills include the following

1.Competent with C/C++, Java, QT, Perl and Shell Programming.

2.Proficient at HTML, Javascript, PHP, SQL, Flash with exposure to AJAX.

3.Proficient in setting up web server, database server, mail server and file server on any platform.

4.Experienced with Windows, GNU/Linux and Mac OS X environments as an Administrator.

I have developed several applications using these tools which include qabproxychecker, Tax Calculation Software, Othello and many more. I have won numerous awards in various national and international programming competitions.
