I am currently a Financial Engineering student at the University of Southern California, set to graduate in May of 2017. I have a deep-seated passion for finance and quantification. I have wanted to work as a ___ since I was a freshman in college and working with _____would be the realization of a dream. In order to aid this goal, I have sought out and developed experience designing and building mathematic model. When I was an undergraduate student, I joined student research training to develop my skills of building mathematical models. I led a three-person team to research Risk Management of Private Financing. My work has included designing surveying plan, collecting 273 companies’ financial data about private financing, classifying the data into quantitative variables, building matrix of evaluation index and using SAS to build an integrated risk management strategy. As a result, I wrote a paper about Risk Management of Private Financing based on the integrated risk management strategy. After this project, my interest in data analysis and quantification solidified.

In order to increase my skills of data analytical ability and financial analysis skills, I obtain several internships during summer vacation. During the summer of 2014, I interned at XIAMEN INTERNATIONAL BANK. I called the 625 customers of the bank and collected data about their requirement and the problems. I divided requirements and problems into some parts. Combining with the similar reports in past years, I used SAS/ETS, modeling customers’ choice and predicting customers’ requirement. During the summer of 2012, I interned at NANJING YINGCHANG INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT COMPANY. During that time, I analyzed the price of London gold based on K-chart. Combining with the fundamentals and technicians, I wrote reports about the gold price.
