As a rising senior, I expect to complete my degree in May 2013. Iam currently working in the Thermo-Fluids Lab (TFL)  as a Research Associate, details of theexperiment I have been conducting can be found in my resume. Performing this experiment has allowedme to apply my engineering knowledge directly, while enhancing my critical thinking and problem solv-ing abilities, as unique problems without apparent solutions presented themselves during the researchand needed to be resolved quickly in order to maintain a strict schedule and experiment accuracy. Ithas also given me invaluable experience in experiment and component design, data acquisition andcountless hours in a machine shop. I have also submitted an abstract on my work for presentation atthe American Physical Society national conference in November.Along with my work in the TFL, I participate in the design and fabrication of the GWU Mini Bajawhich competes in the annual SAE competitions. in theSummer of 2011. The experience helped build my interdisciplinary communication and organizationalskills by working in teams with non-engineers, and exposed me to a corporate work environment.I am available to start part-time as of September 2012, preferably in your y office dueto its proximity to GW’s campus.
