I am writing to express my interest in the position of Summer Associate at Boston Consulting Group currently posted on the Job Board. Currently, I am a junior at The University of Texas at Austin majoring in Finance. I have a strong desire to work in the consulting industry, and really enjoy problem solving that involves the use of technology and creativity.

After reading articles on BCG Perspectives, I am very interested in the problems of the global companies facing nowadays and also curious about the strategies that they use to achieve business success. As a volunteer in the electronic company this past summer, I had a chance to deal with real business problems, and acquired some creative problem solving skills from the company.

In addition, I am used to be the Treasurer for my previous university student association. I utilize Excel to track membership dues, external contributions, and the association’s expenditures. The total budget I manage for the organization is approximately $5,000. I also present a financial update and corresponding statements to our advisory board on a monthly basis.

As a result of my diverse background and experience, I believe my values make a great match for opportunities at Boston Consulting Group. I have attached my resume with additional information regarding my work history and leadership experience for your review.
