POSITION:

intern

February 7, 2016

[REDACTED]

Address

Washington D.C. 20002

[REDACTED]:

My name is [redacted]; I am an undergraduate student at the University of [place]i, currently studying towards my Bachelor’s in Arts degrees engineering and science. In addition to pursuing two majors, I am also pursing minors in Religious Studies, Middle Eastern Studies, and a Multicultural Certificate. Supplemental to my emphasis and interest in engineering and politics, i also have an interest in craft making.

I am writing to you regarding opportunities for a full-time internship for CNNPolitics.com for the summer of 2016, during the months of June-August.

I believe an internship with CNNPolitics.com, a subset of CNN, the first 24-Hour News Network, would greatly benefit me in expanding my research and writing skills by gaining further insight into the U.S. political system, journalism, and CNN’s political coverage of presidential, senate, and congressional campaigns.

My exposure to the world of advocacy, politics, and diplomacy are guaranteed to be beneficial to your internship program.

I am confident that my vast amounts of internship experience, cultural and language skills, and strong interest in a career in politics have prepared me to be a strong and valuable intern for your program. You may find my resume enclosed and I look forward to discussing my qualifications with you. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,
