I am currently a graduate student in the Engineering Management program offered jointly by Paul Merage School of Business and Henry Samueli School of Engineering. I received my undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Osmania University in India.

I learned of the Consultant-Advisory, Cyber Risk Services position from my school’s career center and am excited about the prospect of working for Deloitte Advisory.

My most recent professional role was as a Technical Executive at ITC LTD.’s Agribusiness division in Mysore, India. In this role I transformed a Greenfield project to factory phase by streamlining the processing line in terms of manpower, machinery, systems and procedures.

Below is a summary of my qualifications and experience pertinent to this position:

• Operations Management experience at ITC LTD.: On the shop floor I planned, organized and controlled production, meeting production targets and quality parameters in a cost effective manner. I managed a team of four Technical Associates, 13 Technicians, 6 Outsourced Executives and 130 workmen ensuring annual production volume of $65M was met. Additionally I ensured compliance towards financial systems and procedures on the shop floor through timely review of ERP reports and implemented management systems such as QMS, EMS, SMS and SRTP within departments.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills: On daily basis I analyzed data pertaining to key performance indicators and directed actions on the shop floor to solve problems and ensure quality targets were met without missing business targets. Additionally as a certified six sigma green belt, I spearheaded process improvement projects in the processing line using a DMAIC approach to maximize process efficiencies at the unit level. I lead two major projects, “Plant Uptime Improvement” and “Yield Improvement” generating annualized saving of $1.1M.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills: I oversaw unit level account management for key clients such as British American Tobacco, Korean Tobacco Group, Imperial Tobacco Group, Surya Nepal and European Union, where I disseminated clients’ requirements to the processing team and also responded to their product complaints in the form of CAPA (Corrective action and preventive action) in the line. I seamlessly collaborated with the engineering, quality control, finance, marketing, storages and human resources departments to meet operational and project requirements through influencing and applying a stakeholder-based approach.
