I was recently informed by the Chemistry department at Purdue of the openings for full time opportunities in Research and Development at Dow Chemical Company and I am writing to express my interest in applying for the position

I am impressed by several aspects of your company, especially Dupont’s commitment to the growth of renewable energy technologies, as evidenced by a recent statement from Dupont’s Electronics & Communications President that the company expects to achieve $1 billion in revenue from sales into the solar photovoltaics market in 2010.

During my Ph.D. at Purdue, I have got extensive experience in diverse set of skills in bioanalysis which include characterization of polymer based nanoparticles, biological assays and imaging techniques. In addition during my Masters I got extensive experience in characterization of metal nanoparticles and protein biochemistry. I have a solid record of publishing in peer reviewed journals (10 research articles and 3 reviews) and have given 3 oral and 10+ poster presentations. I am eager to take my analytical skills to the next level and apply them in a professional setting.
