From the NUS talent connect website I learned about your need for a Quant Developer intern and I am so excited to see your opening for this position.With my education research background, my training in programming projects, I believe I could make a valuable contribution to HedgeSPA in this position.
In August I will complete my M.Sc. in
Quantitative Finance under Department of Mathematics in NUS. This programme
supplies me with not only many advanced knowledge in mathematics skills and an
understanding of financial markets and derivatives;for example, I have completed courses in Financial Derivatives and Mathematics Finance
which shed light on the basic principle of pricing of derivatives and how to
associate math to solve finance problems. What’s more, as part of the
requirements for modules of Financial Modelling, I am involved in a project
that has given me experience in coding with Matlab. I was responsible for
writing codes of pricing Vanilla option and American option by Binomial Tree
Model, Finite Differences Scheme and codes of exotic options by Forward Grid
Shooting Method and Single Variable Method. I also have finished courses in
statistics and research methods. As a curious person, I am taking C++ course and
self-learn Python this semester. My good friend named Yuan Yuan now is working
in HedgeSPA as a part- time intern. I learn from him how wonderful and
challenging is working in HedgeSPA, and I think I am the kind of person you are
seeking for—one who is proactive with high Adversity Quotient. What’s more I am
always very interested in quant for keeping me learning and informed. I believe
it will be my honor if I could make my first foot print on my career path with
the internship of HedgeSPA where my strong analytical and problem solving skills
will be utilized.
