I am a post-graduate in International Economics, Banking and Finance from Cardiff University. I am writing to apply for the position of Advanced Degree Program.
I am particularly interested in the financial market advisory because of the prospect of being supported by a network of specialists throughout the training process. The opportunity to work with entrepreneurs and business owners with a wide variety of work will be a challenge worth pursuing. As in the financial market advisory sector, Communicating directly with clients to present results and addressing request and questions is challenging and providing updates on portfolio performance requires me to keep focusing on the information around me. Furthermore, it is encouraging to learn that at this program depends on high level of critical thinking and problem solving skills which trains me not only to be a cautious person in career but also in life.
I would be able to contribute positively to Blackrock because I have gained related skills and academic achievement through my experience and study. In 2012, I participated in a business program in AXA company in Hong Kong. In the team my tasks included investigating markets and statistic data, making presentations and business plans. I used PEST and SWOT to analyze the pros and cons for mainland people insuring in Hong Kong. Business planning encouraged me to think “outside- the-box” and has given me the confidence to be more creative whilst solving problems. Further, working in a team has sharpened my communication skills and taught me to quickly adapt to different situations. If I have a chance to work for Blackrock, this kind of experience would help me deal with the challenges in daily work and also help me to develop my future career.
