I want to request your consideration for an electrical engineering related internship position for upcoming summer because I believe that my engineering project and leadership experience along with robust academic performance has prepared me for such an opportunity. I have basic knowledge and understanding of automation and manufacturing industry thus as an intern with my skill set, I believe I can contribute professionally and effectively to your operations.

I am currently a 3^rd year pursuing a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from The Ohio State University. I have ECE related technical knowledge such as in the fields of logic design, Combinational and sequential circuits, power distribution and working with a PLC. Because of my academic projects and technical classes I have experience with MATLAB, C++, Solid Works, MS office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) and Quartus II. Other than my good academic achievements, I have engineering project related hands on experience. I have experience with electronic system design and power electronics as I am a team member for OSU’s EcoCAR 3 project which aims to convert a stock Chevy Camaro to a high performance consumer friendly hybrid. I have experience with testing and designing of vehicle components such as battery, motors and PHEV series-parallel hybrid design. I have experience with working as part of a team and leadership positions as I was the team leader for my academic advanced energy vehicle project (AEV). I am a very responsible and hardworking individual with prior history of managing my time well and meeting deadlines. I have experience with leadership positions and active involvement on campus as I am the vice president of Acacia fraternity and active member of EWB (Engineers without Borders) and SASE (Society of Asian engineers). I have worked several on campus PT jobs while taking full course load. I worked as an Office Assistant for OSU’s housing services which helped me to develop my excellent data management and communication skills. I was assigned regular assignments such as preparing reports and memos, faxing documents and answering phone calls. My achievements include excellent performance review because at my current PT job as a bookseller/cashier at Barnes & Noble I was one of only six people who were selected among a pool of 50 new temporary employees to be kept on at the end of the busy season. I am a fast learner and you can expect me to learn anything that I’m unfamiliar with in a minimal amount of time. I’m willing to relocate as well.
