Sample cover letter for Internship position at facebook
business analyst
Dear Dr. Chang, Please accept my application for a school psychologist position in the Appleton County Schools for the 2012–2013 school year. Enclosed you will find my curriculum vitae, three letters of recommendation, my official graduate transcript, and two work samples completed during my internship year. I believe my interests and skills match well with the district’s mission and the description of the open position. I am currently a school psychology intern working in Morris County Schools. I will complete my internship and obtain my state and national certification as a school psychologist in the summer of 2012. As you will see from my CV, I have gotten a breadth of relevant experiences over the past three years, including working at the preschool, elementary, middle, and high school levels with ethnically, linguistically, and economically diverse children and families. In addition to numerous other activities, a main area of focus during my internship has been data-based decision making and problem solving. I have helped structure a multi-tiered system of service delivery including Response to Intervention (RTI) at the elementary school level, and have provided professional development about RtI to all district psychologists. In addition, I have been responsible for collecting assessment data, implementing academic and behavioral interventions, and monitoring student outcomes throughout the year. A particular area of interest for me is multicultural issues, including social advocacy for underserved or marginalized students and families. For example, my school psychology internship supervisor and I have collaborated extensively to change the special education referral process at the elementary level due to an overrepresentation of minority students in special education. In addition, at the high school level, I have worked with the school counselor to co-facilitate a group to support gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (GLBTQ) students. I am eager to begin my career as a school psychologist, and I believe my school psychology training and field experiences have provided me with the ability to hit the ground running next year. Thank you for your time and for considering this application. Should you have any questions, please contact me at (987)-654-3210.
