I am a student at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee, India majoring in Electrical Engineering currently in my 5th semester. I am highly interested in the field of Reconfigurable Systems & Image Processing and I believe that an opportunity to work under you will be an invaluable learning experience. I believe that I have the required skills and aptitude to contribute positively to the on-going research under you.

I’m working on a project titled “Remote sensing and measurement of electricity tariff data using Smart meters”, this involves analyzing the technology of smart meter like sensing energy flow, power outage notification, two way communication and to develop a computer program and digital circuit for the same.

To consolidate my knowledge in my fields of interest I’ve done an internship at “Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd.” where I studied about the manufacturing and assembling processes of large electrical machines including generators, transformers and other industrial machines.

I have efficient programming skills in C++ and Matlab. I have also presented research papers in various technical competitions.

I am very keen to carry out research and contribute in the fields of my interest. I would be delighted if I could work on a research project under your esteemed guidance during May-July 2011. I am also interested in further studies in these fields after my graduation.
