I am a Master’s student at UNC, Charlotte pursuing my major in Computer Science and concentration in Data Science & Management and will be graduating in December 2016. This is regarding the summer internship position opening in Data Science Intern at FHI 360.

I have completed various academic projects in predictive analysis using regression models, learning algorithms and a project on database design. Projects are implemented using varying technologies and language like R programming, python, php, matlab, MySQL, laravel framework. Moreover, I'm working on a research study based on providing post login security to smartphone users by continuously and unobtrusively analyzing the touchscreen gestures. I am very keen to learn and work on cutting edge technologies and enhance my skills.

Before beginning my higher studies I worked as an IT Analyst and have 4.5 years of experience as Oracle database administrator. I supported the production databases and application deployments of major clients based on telecom and pharmacy domain such as Express Scripts, BSNL and Bayer and leading a team of 4 members. My primary work was query optimization, performance monitoring and tuning the database for better performance. Other job includes Table and Index design, database design, installation, table space management, patching & up-gradation, taking backups and their consistency check, database recovery, cloning & migration, debugging and troubleshooting errors and performance bottlenecks. Apart from this, mentoring application developers and team members has been a regular part of my job.
