Sample cover letter for Internship position at fractal

I am writing this letter to explore the possibility of obtaining a winter internship at Fractal Analytics (December 2016). I believe that the internship at Fractal Analytics will provide me with an opportunity to thrive in the corporate world and to get much needed exposure to work at a professional level.

Throughout my time at IIT Kharagpur, I have tried to diversify my repertoire in technical and managerial fields as mentioned in my resume. I have already worked in a professional environment, during my summer internship (May – June 2016) at Myraa Technologies, where I got a chance to be the head of the developing team and worked closely with my mentor and fellow colleagues towards building our product.

I'm currently pursuing a Major in Financial Engineering, as an interdisciplinary course, at Vinod Gupta School of Management, IIT Kharagpur. I have gained significant knowledge in the field of data analytics and machine learning and I want to work alongside some bright and sharpest minds to help improve my skills.

At this point of time in my academic career, I have outlined certain specific goals to help me grow holistically. The primary ones among these are to get an experience of the corporate world and to develop a network of intellectuals whom I can look towards to help me succeed in my corporate life.
