As a hard worker, highly motivated and committed graduate student with high proficiency in both Arabic and English, and strong writing skills, I would like to apply for the position of translator and transcriptionist.

In brief, I am a graduate student with a BS degree in Biology and a minor in Public Health from the American University of Beirut. I am starting my graduate studies in health management and policy also at AUB this coming September. I am Lebanese and therefore I posses a native fluency in speaking, writing and reading the Arabic language and specifically the Lebanese colloquial Arabic.

Although I am a science degree holder, I have remarkable skills in English writing. My minor in public health and specifically the Global Public Health course required submission of several papers and essays per week, which further improved the quality of my writings and the rate at which I accomplish the tasks. Through this course, I was exposed to transcribing several interviews and translating it from Lebanese colloquial Arabic to English for the purpose of integrating it in reports and papers. My high performance in courses that necessitate remarkable writing skills is also worth mentioning.

I am sure that my high commitment and great ability of task management along with my English and Arabic writing skills as well as my Microsoft Word proficiency will help me in fulfilling the tasks of this job efficiently.
