I have always had an interest in the financial industry, hence my decision to take both Economics and Maths as subjects to study at A-Level. I hope to go on to study Economics at University. I have a particular interest in investment banking due not only to the extremely challenging nature of analyst and associate positions, but additionally the growth and development opportunities available to graduates in investment banking. The skill building, networking and challenges involved within investment banking appeal enormously to me. I aspire to one day be part of the company Goldman Sachs which I believe is the pinnacle of the financial system, working alongside some of the brightest, most ambitious people in the industry. I feel that I would be able to bring imaginative, resourceful and acute ideas to this work experience programme, as well as heavily benefit from the insightful and knowledgeable teachings of my peers and those at Goldman Sachs. I believe my involvement in an array of school sporting teams, a regional athletics team and weekly voluntary work at the local soup run will enable me to co-operate and integrate well with my peers within the programme. Goldman Sachs tend to run programmes only for those at university or entry-level positions therefore this is an opportunity that I know that is unlikely that I will get again, hence my determination and desire to be accepted onto this Insight Day.
