I am writing to apply for the position of Seasonal Off-Cycle Internship of the Investment Banking division that I learned about from our campus recruiting website. I am currently a student in National Taiwan University and I am expecting to graduate with a bachelor’s degree in economics in June, 2016.

I have taken a range of courses related to the fields of finance and mathematics including solid courses like research methods and econometrics, in order to be fluent in database analysis. Through these courses I have developed the ability to provide multiple solutions to complicated problems and they encouraged me to think critically. I find that although these subjects may be challenging, they have assisted me with rigorous thinking and the sense of accomplishment is rewarding. I believe the environment of investment banking can help me temper my quantitative and analytical skills in order to havethe potential to succeed in the rapidly changing financial industry.

During my two month internship in Bank of China, Beijing Headquarters, not only have I participated in projects which require to analyze the company’s database, but I have also interact with clients, which gave me the opportunity to improve my interpersonal and communication skills. In addition, I enjoy to have deep understanding towards different industries in order to have a well-rounded knowledge to the world. I am confident that holding those experience in the Investment Banking division can allow me to establish strong client-hood.
