Being an extremely ambitious person, I grew up in a small town but thereafter managed to study in the most coveted educational institutions of India. I joined IIT Kharagpur for my graduation course in engineering as I felt best suited to satisfy my technical & analytical inclination. When graduating, my analytical bent of mind made me consciously choose to work in a place which gave me a peek into the world of finance. Consequently I joined Infosys BPO Limited where I got an opportunity to work for Deutsche Bank Global Markets in their Index Products team. Subsequently I joined Lehman Brothers, working with their European securitization team. Stints with these firms have taught me a lot about the challenging roles & the rich and intellectual work environment within investment banks. It has also reinforced my interest in working in a capital market role, more so in these challenging times. My recent decision to join IIM Ahmedabad was prompted by a desire to work in roles of higher responsibility & independence.

Goldman Sachs being the most reputed investment bank with the sharpest people, I perceive it to be a unique opportunity for me to work in a challenging and intellectual environment with a steep learning curve. I find it to be a great fit for my ambitious, tenacious & analytical nature. I am looking forward to working with Goldman Sachs for my summer internship.
