To whom this may concern

I am a first year undergraduate student studying Maths and Economics at LSE. I am writing to apply for the 2017 Spring Intern position at Goldman Sachs to further enhance my understanding of the firm and its Investment Management division.

I am interested in Goldman Sachs because it is the most prestigious investment bank in the world, recently reaching a high of $1.29 trillion assets under management. That, coupled with the fact that Goldman Sachs closed the biggest deal of the year from the release of the Tesla stocks despite the high volatility in the market, shows that working for Goldman Sachs I would be part of a fast growing financial institution with a resilient business model.

During the Goldman Sachs ‘A-Level Girls Insight Day’, I spoke with Kathleen Hughes, MD, Asset Management about her role. This division is one I am keen on exploring at Goldman Sachs.

Knowing this role will be highly intellectually demanding, fast paced and technical is very appealing as I enjoy high pressure environments and have experience in meeting strict tight deadlines - I recently created a web design company and I had to create a website for a sugar exporter in 3 days.

Through playing tennis and competing at national level since the age of 10, I have to be self motivated and a team player.
