My name is , and I have just completed my final year of study as a X student at the London School of Economics. As an ambitious graduate who is commercially driven, I have always been drawn towards Financial Services, specifically M&A advisory work - it provides a fascinating window into the economic, political and commercial world that we are all a part of. The M&A advisory sector allows one to be at the forefront of transactions and get involved in the decisions that shape this world, as well as affording the opportunity to meet some of the brightest, sharpest minds across several major industries.

Greenhill & Co. attracts me in particular for its unique philosophy and focus. Unlike many of its larger more diversified competitors, Greenhill focuses purely on objective advice, without any conflicts of interest - by not partaking in investing, lending or underwriting activities, Greenhill can be relied upon by its clients for trusted advice on their most important strategic issues. In addition, Greenhill & Co. is a smaller firm relative to other investment banks - I view this as a positive opportunity to take on greater responsibility at an earlier stage, and be more closely involved with the senior-level professionals within the firm. Indeed, despite its smaller size, Greenhill continues to grow, with exceptional cross-border expertise and global relationships, which only serves to strengthen my desire for this opportunity.

Last summer, I completed a summer internship in Investment Banking (M&A) at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Through this experience,
