The interest in the Global Banking internship at HSBC can be sub dived into two categories 1) a real empathies for doing the right thing and 2) international opportunity and mobility.

1) I am an individual that finds it extremely rewarding providing a good service that has a real impact on a client. Throughout my work experience and studies when someone needs/wants guidance I will always be there to help and encourage with thought through solutions. This off-cycle internship will allow me to do this in a more professional way with solutions based on strategic research.

2) As a well-travelled individual I have seen how different cultures, different politics and most importantly different people respond to financial decisions. I really take pride in the fact I’ve been to all the continents of the world and have funded the majority of travel independently. International mobility is needed to seize emerging markets (such as Cuba and Mexico) and I know if I achieve, HSBC will allow me to take international opportunities.

I am particularly interested in Mergers and Acquisitions and done an independent project on ‘M&A’ outside of exam units. Further details of this can be discussed in an interview.
