I would like to express my interest in securing an Investment Management Lead / Senior Officer position in the Infrastructure and Energy Division - Social Infrastructure Sector at the Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC). My background, educational, and professional experiences have all contributed to my continued interest in the developing world. My work in the project finance field and my first-hand knowledge of private sector has led me to believe that it is extremely important to support private sector investments in the developing world in order to promote sustainable growth. In particular, I believe investments in the sectors of education and health are a very important private sector tool to help alleviate poverty and to support growth in low-income countries.

Working at IIC appeals to me because it offers me the best opportunity to leverage my past experience in corporate finance, as well my personal interest in international development. The skills I can offer include: analytic and quantitative ability, developed through more of ten years working in Corporate Banking and Corporate Finance at two major banks in Peru, first at BBVA and then at Interbank performing extensive complex financial modelling and due diligences, and strengthened through my Master in Finance at Carroll School of Management - Boston College; client relationship and negotiation skills, as evidenced through my role first as Relationship Manager at BBVA and them as Manager at Interbank leading the day-to-day execution deal teams at Corporate Finance area which involved daily interaction with the client, external advisors and risk department; and leadership skills, as demonstrated through my active roles as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in three major corporations in Peru. In addition, I also have strong team-working skills which I developed as both in BBVA and Interbank, and which I am further developing as CFO working in cross-functionally within departments and teams.
