Sample cover letter for Internship position at intel

Dear Sir/Madam

I am writing this in order to support my application for my role working with your company.

I am applying for your advertised job ‘events and marketing intern’. Within this letter I hope that I can inform you of the skills that I hold that can make me a great candidate for this role.

In my final year of my sixth form at school, I was responsible for leading a team that held a school event, which was a sixth form dinner. This event was a success and I fully enjoyed everything that led up to producing this. This event was of very low nature however being able to be given the opportunity of being involved in organising events at this level provides much excitement for me.

The aspect of marketing fully excites me as well, in my first year of University I choose to undertake an elective module within marketing to fully develop the learning I already had around the subject further, I was able to excel within this module. Whilst I have not had the opportunity to undertake a marketing aspect in my second year, I fully aim to take a look further into the depths around marketing in my final year, and ultimately base my dissertation around this topic.

Having looked at the job description criteria, one of the main things I picked out from it was the importance of solid time management. I believe that within my studies and the event I held during my final year of school I was able to fully show that I am very good when it comes to this. Going back to the event I lead time management was key, we were very restricted with the time we had however as a team of people and the leadership skills I possessed, our team was able to have everything fully ready within the time given to us, as well as providing this to a very good standard.

I believe with this role involving much responsibility within the events field, teamwork will be key, I believe I have shown great teamwork in several tasks I have been involved in, from our sixth form event to working as a D of E team, both were a success due to coordination within our team and delegating roles appropriately.
